Kaylee is now 8 months old and isn't officially crawling, but don't be fooled, she can easily clear a room in no time! She is desperately trying to pull herself up on furniture too -- it's only a matter of time before she figures it out. I am not ready for my baby to be mobile, this baby stage should last a lot longer! She is just so content, eats well, plays well, and goes to sleep without so much as a peep. We are blessed to have her!Alyssa is making progress on the pottie. She uses it a minimum of once a day and is rewarded with a sticker (although I think the music that plays when she goes, is far more rewarding to her). Her latest interests include singing "Deep and Wide," dancing, reading, going for walks and "racing", and swinging on her swingset. She never stops moving but I love her energy!
There are days when I wish for nothing more than to find a part time job so I can feel like I am something other than a mother. But then, my girls remind me why it's so sweet to be able to be home with them too. Kaylee has developed a dislike to the vacuum lately (and believe me, with 2 kids, I vacuum a minimum of once a week). Anyway, she started crying and Alyssa went and sat right next to her, put her arm around and told her it was okay. So sweet! At bedtime, Alyssa hugs, kisses and says "I wuv you KaySue" I hope these girls continue to develop a lifelong bond and appreciate having each other.
