We are so thrilled to announce that a baby BOY will be joining our family! There was so much more anxiety surrounding this ultrasound after watching our very best friends experience the loss of their baby girl just 6 short weeks ago. It made us realize how we had always taken the health of our babies for granted. Everything looked good on the ultrasound but I will have to have another one in 4 weeks. The tech was unable to get a profile shot, a look at the diaphram, and was unable to get a clear picture of something specific she wanted to see with the heart. Both the tech and my doctor assured me this was nothing of concern but something that they can't always see when the baby is laying in the position that he was. So, we get to have another look at our baby boy in 4 weeks! The ultrasound put me due 5 days earlier than my date of January 26, but they won't adjust my due date. Alyssa was hoping for a girl but still has 20 weeks to get used to the idea of a baby brother :) We feel so incredibly blessed and cannot wait to meet our precious baby boy! God is good!9/07/2010
