Easter

Easter Sunday was a busy one! What a great day though, to celebrate the Resurrection! We started the day with church and ended our morning service with the "Hallelujah Chorus." I don't think there is any more appropriate song for Easter Sunday. After church it was off to Great-Grandpa and Grandma Schrotenboer's for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. Back home for some quick naps, and off the the Lucas side for Easter dinner (and another Easter egg hunt). Did I mention that the kids had 4 egg hunts this year? Our daycare provider held one for the kids last Saturday afternoon at her house. It was so sweet and the kids had such a great time there. Needless to say, we did not do any Easter baskets for the kids this year. When did Easter become associated with so much candy?!?!

We were so thankful that Avery was able to make it to our Easter celebration on Sunday night. The kids have met her, but this was the first time the Lucas clan was together as one complete family and it felt great to have her there!

Alyssa sat and played with Avery while the rest of us finished our dinners. Alyssa looks at this picture and says, "See Mom? Avery really loves me!"
