Down on the Farm

Last Friday was a beautiful morning so we packed up and headed down to the farm for a couple hours.  Mark has been incredibly busy in the fields chopping corn, so this was a way the kids could see their Daddy too.  The girls got to ride in the chopper first to Bryce and I walked around in the field.  They made it about 45 minutes and then the field was finished.

Mark thought he would give Bryce a ride in the chopper while they were moving to the next field so it wasn't so bumpy.
Bryce sat so well on the ride to the field, so Mark tried him in the field.  There was a seat belt in there so off they went.  Bryce apparently didn't make one sound and didn't move an inch the entire time he was in there.  I can't wait when I can send him off for an entire day to go help Dad at work.
Can you see Bryce in there?
The calves are always a favorite when we visit the farm.  The girls beg and beg to see them.  However, when I let them out of the car and told them I was staying in with Bryce, they got scared and grasped each other's hands while walking through the barn.  Cute :)  I got out to help them then and they both wanted to pet a calf.
This is Alyssa's idea of petting a calf....ONE finger!
Kaylee thought she would be plenty satisfied by just posing by a calf.  They do move afterall :)

But then she got brave and decided to "pet" one as well

On the way home I asked each of the girls their favorite part of the morning/afternoon.  Kaylee - "riding in the chopper!" and Alyssa - "petting the cows"  Ha!  Bryce's favorite part was definately the chopper ride too.  He told me so :)
