Alyssa turned 6 weeks old on Saturday. She also made her first trip to Chuck E. Cheese this past weekend for her cousin Madison's 4th Birthday (although Alyssa slept through most of it). She played with her cousin Jacob at Grandma Schrotenboer's house on Saturday and experienced her first pizza night at Grandpa and Grandma Lucas on Sunday night. What a busy weekend! Alyssa also went with me to the doctor today and she greeted everyone with a great big smile! She is starting to do this more and more and it just makes my day! Hopefully I can catch it on camera soon!
Getting back to work has been bittersweet. It's nice to feel "normal" again and actually talk to some adults during the day, but it is awful hard to leave Alyssa during the day. We're still adjusting but at least I know she's in good hands while I'm at work.
