Yes, that's right. Our first flight to Atlanta is CANCELLED due to freezing rain in Atlanta. A wonderful lady helped us find an alternative route after telling us how stupid it is to think we were actually going to have no problems making two flights on the same day as our cruise in the winter months. So, after searching many flights, she booked us to O'Hare and from there to Miami. So instead of arriving at 12:30, we were to arrive around 2:30 in Miami. Plenty of time to get to the ship by 4:30 (or so we thought!) The flight to O'Hare went as scheduled, but our flight from there to Miami was delayed and switched gates 3 times! We finally touched town in Miami at 3:50pm. We were on the phone with the cruise asking if we could still make it. We find a celebrity representative at the baggage claim who tells us that if we want to make our cruise, we must get on a shuttle immidiately and leave our luggage behind. So, off we were with only the clothes on our backs. We were told we'd get our luggage in Jamaica 2 days later. We literally run from the shuttle to the ship, get checked in,and then a man tells us that 8 pieces of luggage are on their way to the ship but he didn't know whose they were. We step foot onto the ship at 4:45 - 15 minutes before departure!!! We leave Miami and about 45 minutes, we checked our rooms and there sat our luggage! What a relief!!!
Our first sunset off the back of the ship

Formal Night --good thing our luggage showed up or we would have been eating at the buffet!

Our first stop was in Ocho Rios where we climed Duns River Falls. It was a lot of fun but the falls were extremely busy! Our second stop was in Grand Cayman where we visited Stingray City. Although you can't see it very well in this picture, the stingray is on my shoulder. I loved this stop but Kristin and Mark weren't quite so sure about it. We swam with them and got to hold them. After our stop there, our little boat took us to go snorkeling for a bit.

Our last evening on the ship.

Once we made it on the ship, we had a wonderful trip and absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather! We sure got a rude awakening when we touched down in GR and came back to freezing temperatures. Alyssa was well taken care of while we were gone, but she got so much bigger! She is "talking" more and more and is sooo close to rolling over!

Welcome Back!!!! I am so glad that you made it back. It looks like you had a wonderful time.
...now back to this "wonderful" Michigan weather. When is it going to stop snowing????
Glad you had a good time and made it! It seems it's always an adventure when traveling! Give me a call sometime!
I can't believe you almost missed your cruise and almost didn't get your luggage! That would have been aweful! I'm glad it ended up working out. Who babysat while you were gone? Grandparents probably...were you on the Century? That was the ship we were on.
Looks like you had a blast on your cruise...once you made it there! I know how bad airport travel can be these days!
Tans look great! :-)
