I had a wonderful time in California over the weekend! The weather was beautiful, warm, and sunny every day! We ate at wonderful places each day and I couldn't believe the amount of traffic and pedestrians! On my first night there we walked on Santa Monica pier and on our way there, ran into some filming for the show "Without a Trace." I don't watch the show so I can't tell you who the actor was, but he's famous :) Saturday we walked around downtown LA for awhile in the afternoon and shopped in Santa Monica in the evening. Sunday afternoon, after church, we went to two tapings of "Family Feud." We were told we would definately be on TV so look for that sometime in December (yeah, I know nobody watches that show anymore). I also got to see the set of Judge Judy (I'm sure my father-in-law is jealous). Sunday night we walked around Hollywood and looked at all the stars hand and foot prints. Thanks to Brooke and Shawn for being such great hosts! I had a great time and was glad to enjoy this time before baby #2 arrives :) I'm grateful to Mark for all his extra running around with Alyssa and for encouraging me to take this trip and to our parents and Kristin for helping to watch Alyssa so Mark could work. Thanks you guys!Here is a shot from breakfast Saturday morning on the beach in Malibu. $10 for two pieces of uncooked french toast but I guess the view of the Pacific Ocean made it worth it!
