California here I come!

I head off to Santa Monica bright and early tomorrow morning until Monday evening! The weather is supposed to be perfect and I'm looking forward to relaxing and spending time with my high school friend Brooke. I am very excited but also quite reluctant to leave Mark and Alyssa behind. I know she will be well taken care of, but there is nothing quite like a mother/daughter bond. I had a good report at the doctor this week and found out the cause of my pain last week was from excess water in my kidney. It is unlikely that the pain will return, but I am prepared if it does. We also scheduled a date for baby girl #2 to arrive which is crazy! Where is the time going? Anyway, please be sure to give Alyssa hugs and kisses if you see her between now and Monday to make up for all the ones she'll be missing from me :)
