Mark, Alyssa, and I welcomed Kaylee Sue Lucas into our family on 12/28/08 at 7:00am via c-section. She weighed in at 7lbs even and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was originally scheduled to arrive on 1/5/08 so when I started having contractions early Sunday morning, we weren't quite prepared. By 3am I woke Mark up asking him to start timing and the contractions were already about 2 minutes apart. We headed to the hospital shortly after 5am and I walked into the OR around 6:30 and she arrived about 30 minutes later. Kaylee has lost a bit of weight but is feeding really well! We expect to be home tomorrow early afternoon and we're looking forward to all of our friends coming to meet her! Guess it will be a low-key New Year's Eve at our house this year though :)
