Race for the Cure

On Saturday morning Kristin, Kaylee, my Mom and I all headed out to Grandville for the Susan Komen, Race for the Cure. I decided to keep Alyssa home this year for fear that she would refuse to get in the stroller since most time she insists on walking everywhere. Kaylee did a good job at the race and was pretty fascinated with all the activity. She fussed at mile 2 so I carried her and as soon as we crossed the finish line, she fell asleep and slept the whole way home. Overall it was a fun morning and we're glad the weather cooperated for us! Here is a picture of our whole group -- Team Audrey.Kaylee had her 9 month visit this morning and weighed in at 16 pounds even (10th percentile!) and was 26 inches long. She is more than 2 pounds lighter than Alyssa was at this age and an inch shorter. I was relieved that the doctor was not concerned with her weight. She rarely will eat more than a 4 oz bottle at a time so it takes a good amount of effort for her to eat 20oz a day. The doctor said there is a 17oz minimum at this age and was not worried. Kaylee is still not "crawling" but can get wherever she wants to go. We are slowly starting to introduce some table foods but she easily gags on new textures so we're taking it easy. She loves to clap her hands and smile at her big sister! Only a flu shot today so not too bad of a visit. We'll have to go back in a month for the second dose
