Tulip Time, 2011

I have to admit that I don't get too excited about Tulip Time as I don't really enjoy crowds of any type. However, I do enjoy going downtown each year to get pictures by the tulips like every other Hollander. Planting season is in full swing so when Mark had an evening home this week, we took full advantage and headed downtown to watch the dutch dancing.

Finally, our first decent family picture. Love this!

Alyssa acted as photographer. I have very few pictures of me and Bryce so she was happy to use my phone to take pictures :)
Mommy and her girls

They look so sweet here...hmmmm

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year! The kids (and Mark) got me a dozen red roses and a sterling silver necklace with all the kids names on it and a little pearl. I love, love, love it! When Mark got home from work in the morning, we packed the kids in the car and drove up to Buckley to visit Kevin and Kate and the kids, and to surprise my Mom (and Dad) who were up there for the weekend as well. We had a great lunch and the kids had a great time playing outside with their cousins who we don't see nearly enough. We got home around 5:30 and then at 6:00 we had Mark's family over to celebrate his mom. What a great (busy!) day but a good one to celebrate our mother's and how much they mean to us and our kids!
