We visited Chuck E. Cheese for dinner with both sets of grandparents.
Bryce seemed to enjoy himself too!
Takin a spin with Kaylee
Mommy and the birthday girl!
After a few weeks (months!) of talking Daddy into allowing Alyssa to get her ears pierced, we made the trip out to Rivertown to get them done! Alyssa picked out a pair of purple earrings and plopped right into the chair.
Ready!
Showing her new earrings off! After her earrings, we took a spin on the carousel, did some shopping, and ate lunch in the food court. We had a great morning just the two of us :)
Turning 4 also meant a trip to the dentist for her first cleaning. No cavities and she was thrilled to get a new Dora toothbrush and learn how to get rid of her "sugar bugs."
Just had to throw this 9 month picture of Bryce in :)
My firstborn is 4!!! I've been mentally preparing myself for this day for the past couple of weeks. The jump for 3 to 4 seems so huge to me. This afternoon as I was mopping the floor in preparation for her little party tonight, she came upstairs carrying her beloved blanky. She has dragged this blanket everywhere since before she was crawling! This blanky has been to Florida twice, Great Wolf Lodge, to daycare, to Grandma's house, up north to Buckley, to the hospital when her siblings were born, and just about anywhere else one might imagine. She informed me today she was ready to throw her beloved blanky away because, "Mom, it is full of holes and no one else would want it." I asked her if she was sure, and she said yes and proceeded to throw it into the trash can. Now really, the blanket is nasty but it represents so much to me. So naturally after she threw it away and headed back downstairs, I took it out of the wastebasket so I could take a picture and tuck it away in my closet. I'm not ready to part with this quite yet....even if she is.

Happy Birthday woo hoo! I agree about turning 4-very different. And I can relate about the blankie. Ayden still has his and it is just a wash away from dissolving. Adalie's had to retire really early. Although I replaced it with a newer one I did keep the old rag of a thing for the same reason!
