Our first vacation as a family of 5...We invited Mark's parents to come along with us to Anna Maria, FL for a week. I have to admit that I had strong doubts about this trip. Driving in the car 20 hours with 3 kids ages 4 and under? Not my idea of a fun time! The trip started out pretty well until the girls started getting sick. What we first thought was car sickness, quickly developed into a nasty bug for Kaylee! I don't even know how many times she threw up and had to be cleaned up over the course of a few days. The ride home was more successful in that we decided to give the girls Dramamine after looking online for some suggestions for car sickness...worked like a charm :) We enjoyed beautiful weather, sunny and near 80 almost every day. We went to Busch Gardens twice but got rained out the second day. We headed for home early Friday morning and drove straight through getting home at 1:00am. We had a great vacation and made lots of memories (good and bad!)
A view off our balcony....

The Gulf was pretty cold but we managed to go in up to our knees. Alyssa spent an entire afternoon picking out shells.

Kaylee and Daddy on the sandbar looking for sanddollars. Unfortunately, we didn't find any.

This is the first night in FL. We covered the couch with a sheet in case Kaylee was going to be sick. Alyssa is standing in front of the bowl that we attached to Kaylee's hip for the first couple of days :)
